I was very happy we were approaching SF from the North. This way we had to cross Golden Gate to get to San Francisco. And to be honest with you, I was actually quite nervous before approaching this immense bridge. I don’t really know why, it just seemed like a great endeavor. Perhaps also because it was such a milestone for our trip.
We have been traveling by car for over a week, going 3283 km (2043 miles), and now we are approaching our destination. Perhaps the Golden Gate somehow just became a great symbol of “no return” for us? I don’t know, but as we approached it, we weren’t disappointed.

The immense bridge lay in a fast moving cloud of mystery, and it seemed like the temperature gauge dropped by the meter. From the hot territory of Sonoma just north of San Francisco, it was now 20°C lower, clicking in at 15° while we were going across the bridge! Wo0t!?
